Akatokamanava (Mauke) part of the Ngaputoru island group of the southern islands of the Cook Islands. The design depicts the story of Paikea (warrior & great fisherman) that went fishing on his canoe one day and was swept away from his island by a freak wave. Kea his wife mourned for his disappearance for months as she sat waiting for his return.
